Michael Vargas, the founder of Polygroove, is a multi-instrumental artist focusing on violin. His repertoire mainly revolves in jazz, R&B, pop, contemporary Christian music, and the like. As his career in performance continues to grow, he also ventures in expanding his career in teaching music.

He is a classically-trained violinist under the guidance of known professors in the industry, namely Joshua Legaspi, Arturo “Toti” Molina, and Juan Luis Muñoz. While currently mastering jazz improvisation, he shares his talents by performing live music at private and public events such as musicals and other concert venues.

His unique style in music which incorporates violin instrumental music accompanied by a live 4-piece rhythm band helped him establish his career, creating a dynamic group of professional musicians, Polygroove. He saw this as an opportunity to pioneer a unique instrumental group with the violin as the front man, creating impact to break the typical live band fronted by singers.
